AFCON 2022 winners Senegal won Group B with 5 points, while Guinea finished a close second with four points. Malawi qualified for the second round as the second-best ranked best-loser, with four points from their three games.

Morocco finished their Group C campaign with 7 points from 3 games, and Gabon ended as Group C runners-up.
AFCON debutants Comoros clinched a round of 16 berths with a 3-2 victory over pre-tournament favourites Ghana in their final matchday fixture. However, they finished as the fourth-ranked best loser.

Group E
Ivory Coast won Group E with 7 points after ending defending champions Algeria’s hopes of retaining their title with a 3-1 victory on the final matchday of the group. Equatorial Guinea finished second with 6 points.

Africa Cup of Nations Results for Kenya
Kenya did not qualify for AFCON 2022 after finishing third in Group G of the AFCON qualifiers, with only the group winners and runners-up eligible to qualify for AFCON 2022.
Four teams made up the group; Egypt, Kenya, Togo, and Comoros. Egypt and Comoros finished as group winners and runners-up, respectively.
Kenya went through their first three games unbeaten. However, a 2-1 loss away to Comoros on matchday four was their undoing. Even a 2-1 final matchday victory away to Togo was not enough to guarantee the East Africans an AFCON 2022 group stage berth.
