Juventus Considers Araujo Transfer Amid Injury Concerns
Ronald Araujo, the 25-year-old Barcelona defender, has emerged as a prime candidate to bolster Juventus‘s defense in the upcoming winter transfer window. With key players Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal sidelined by injuries, the Bianconeri are on the hunt for suitable replacements, and Araujo appears to be a natural fit. However, his injury history prompts the Turin club to consider other alternatives as well.

According to “Gazzetta dello Sport”, Araujo has agreed to move to Juventus, as confirmed by his agents. Nonetheless, “Mundo Deportivo” reports that his representatives are cautious not to fuel speculations, and Barcelona has yet to receive an official offer from the Old Lady.
Meanwhile, “Corriere dello Sport” notes that despite Juventus treating Araujo’s transfer seriously, they are also evaluating other options due to his health issues. The Uruguayan underwent surgery for a thigh muscle last summer, restricting him to just one appearance this season. Despite this, he remains under contract with Barcelona until 2026.
The Bianconeri are striving to find an optimal solution for their defensive woes, but their cautious stance towards Araujo is understandable. Juventus is wary of investing in a player whose fitness might hinder consistent performance.
