Kenya Police FC’s meteoric rise to the top of the FKF Premier League this season has been powered by none other than Mohammed Bajaber. His sensational performances have not only delivered silverware but also attracted suitors from every corner of the footballing world. The 22-year-old attacker, who joined Police in a Ksh1 million midseason transfer from Nairobi City Stars, has quickly become one of the hottest properties in Kenyan football.

Bajaber’s impact was immediate and profound. Since his arrival, he has scored five goals in just five appearances. Including three in league matches, helping Police clinch crucial victories and ultimately the league title. His ability to change games with moments of individual brilliance, such as his stunning equaliser for Harambee Stars in the 3-3 draw against Gambia, has set him apart as a player of rare quality.

His exploits have not gone unnoticed. Clubs in Europe are monitoring his progress closely, with Bajaber himself openly expressing his ambition to play abroad. Bajaber’s European dream has always been to return one day. He attended trials at FC Midtjylland in 2021, but did not make the team.

Closer to home, Tanzanian giants Azam FC have reportedly tabled a lucrative offer. Meeting with Bajaber and proposing to triple his current salary. The move to Tanzania’s top flight would provide a new challenge and increased regional exposure. But it remains to be seen whether Bajaber will be tempted away from the Kenyan champions.

Despite the growing interest, there is still a strong possibility that Bajaber could decide to stay with Kenya Police FC, at least for another season. His transformative effect on the team, coupled with the club’s ambition and supportive environment, could persuade him to continue leading Police’s charge both domestically and in continental competitions.

Bajaber’s inclusion in the Harambee Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers capped off a remarkable season. He was one of only five locally based players called up, a testament to his standout performances at club level. With his star rising rapidly, the coming weeks will be crucial as Bajaber weighs up his options. A bold leap to Europe, a high-profile switch to Tanzania, or another season inspiring Kenya Police FC.
