Davies Nears Contract Extension with Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich is currently facing a challenging situation, as starting January 1, seven players will be eligible to negotiate contracts with other clubs. Among them, the contracts of Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane, and Alphonso Davies are set to expire at the end of June.

Among these, Canadian defender Alphonso Davies has drawn significant interest from Real Madrid. Florentino Perez has been attempting to bring the left-back to Santiago Bernabeu for over a year. While it once seemed certain that Davies would join Los Blancos on a free transfer, the scenario has now completely reversed.

According to Relevo, it now appears highly likely that Alphonso Davies will remain with Bayern. An agreement to extend his contract with the Bavarian club is within reach. Despite this, Real Madrid is not giving up and plans to meet with the player’s agent in the coming weeks.

In addition to Real Madrid and Bayern, other clubs are also keen on signing Davies. Teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and FC Barcelona have shown interest in welcoming the Canadian international to their squads.

Alphonso Davies joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from Vancouver Whitecaps for around 14 million euros. Since then, he has made 216 appearances for Die Roten, scoring 12 goals and providing 34 assists.
