Paul Pogba is set to return to football fields soon. During his period with Juventus, tests revealed an illegal substance in his system.
Initially, he faced a four-year suspension, which he successfully reduced to 18 months. Nevertheless, Juventus decided to part ways with him, terminating his contract prematurely. The Frenchman had hoped to remain in Turin, having moved there immediately after his tenure with Manchester United.
Currently, Pogba is on the lookout for a new club. He admits to having numerous offers but is waiting for the right one.
The media continuously link him with Marseille, although representatives of the French giant have denied any ongoing talks. However, this does not rule out a potential move as no one has definitively excluded the possibility.
A move to Marseille would be a grand return for Pogba, as the club is a leading team in Ligue 1, currently fighting for the league’s runner-up position under Roberto De Zerbi’s guidance. Mason Greenwood, who played with Pogba at Manchester United, has commented on the speculation, stating it would be a huge boost for the team.
– He is a fantastic individual and a consummate professional who took me under his wing. An outstanding footballer. Any club in Europe would be grateful to have him. If he joined us, it would be superb news – remarked the English striker.
