What is System Bet Prediction?

In sports betting, a prediction provides the selections for each leg in a system bet. For those new to betting, a system bet example will be provided in this section. Each outcome of a system bet prediction does not need to be correct to get something back from the bet.

Winning system bet meaning shows can be beneficial, so there is demand for good bet system predictions, especially football predictions and tips

Any prediction will suggest a stake unit or total stake. The total stake is the number of selections multiplied by the unit stake. A 234 bet has 11 combinations, meaning a 100 KSH 234 win bet costs 1,100 KSH. Each way system bets cost double the total stake of a win system bet.

A 2345678 bet has 247 permutations, so a 100 KSH win 2345678 bet costs 2,470 KSH and 4,940 KSH for an each-way bet. That means these bets can be expensive but provide the potential for a substantial return.

A winning bet prediction provides a profit which is worked out using a system bet calculator. You can afford to have losing selections in a system bet strategy and still receive a return or profit. For example, two from four selections must win in a Yankee to generate a return but not necessarily a profit.

Due to the nature of system bets, the calculation tool can save time.  A system bet explained shows it combines three or more selections that do not need to win to provide a return.

In a system bet meaning a number of selections are wagered in combinations, usually three to eight. Multi-bets are different in that each leg must win to guarantee a return. Examples are singles, doubles, trebles, and accumulators with four selections or more.

System Bet Example

A system bet example is the win Yankee which consists of four legs in 11 bet combinations (see below for a more detailed explanation).

Each way Yankee has 22 combinations, 11 wins, and 11 places. The place element is calculated using place terms which depend on the place proportion of the win odds and, in horse racing, the number of runners.

Any bet prediction can be entered into the calculator. It works out the return from this type of bet. With three or more selections, a manual calculation can be complex and open to error.

A system bet calculator is a valuable tool because it saves time and the calculation is accurate. However, the following information must be entered correctly into the bet calculator to work out the return:

  • Type of System Bet.
  • Total Stake.
  • Odds for Each Selection.
  • Outcome for Each Selection: Won/Loss/Void.

A selection could be void if a horse is a non-runner in a horse racing system bet or a match is postponed or abandoned in a football system bet. Bookmakers have rules that are applied when there is a void leg in a system bet strategy.

Here is the system bet explained using examples that consist of three to eight legs:
