There are many platforms where you can live stream all the action and place bets based on how the game unfolds.

Check out FIFA World Cup Predictions

It is advisable to keep an eye on the World Cup betting odds available on your preferred sportsbooks to take advantage of emerging chances.

Also, start checking in-depth analysis and World Cup predictions of the favourite teams to win.

Have a Set Budget

Like any other form of betting, you need to set a budget and stick to it regardless of whether your bets are winning or losing.

This discipline will help keep your wins and also protect you from chasing your losses.

Don’t Be Fooled by Big Names

If you ask some casual Kenyan soccer fans which teams are likely to win the World Cup, they will mostly mention underdogs like Germany, France, and Brazil.

While these teams have had World Cup victories, it does not automatically give them a direct pass to be the current favourites.

Additionally, the World Cup is played every 4 years, which is enough time for the team’s roster to go through significant changes.

Don’t Go Too Hard Too Early

While the group stages offer numerous betting opportunities, it is always recommendable to go bigger in the latter stages of the tournament.

Best World Cup Matches

The World Cup has seen some incredible matches featuring unique goals and spectacular turn of events. Here are matches that have helped write World Cup history.

Uruguay vs Brazil (1950)

Prior to the actual tournament held in 1950, it had been scheduled to take place in 1942 and 1946 but was canceled due to the war.

The number of teams that participated shrunk to 13 teams from only three confederations.

What stands out from this tournament is the fact that a knockout game determined the winner through a group system.

Uruguay, Brazil, and Sweden were the group winners, and Uruguay won the title 2-1 against Brazil.

Italy vs Brazil (1982)

This is arguably the greatest game in World Cup history. Brazil was the overwhelming favourite of the match, while Italy had scraped into the second position by having more goals than Cameroon.

Worst still, Italy’s striker, Rossi, was both short of form and fitness after his two-year ban for match-fixing. Yet, he emerged as the team’s savior, seeing Italy scoop the World title with a 3-2 win.

Argentina vs England (1986)

The ‘Hand of God’ goal against England is another World Cup highlight worth mentioning.

With the first half ending in a 0-0 stalemate, the second half saw Maradona score one of the best individual goals ever seen at FIFA.

Maradona scored using his left hand, and with the referee failing to spot what had happened, the goal stood, and Argentina won 2-1 against England.

Germany vs Brazil (2014)

The 2014 World Cup is an unforgettable tournament, but not for Brazil, who lost to Germany 1-7 in the semi-finals.

Brazil was the favourite and was set to claim a sixth title with the help of Neymar, who had the perfect blend of steel, pragmatism, and skill. But they ended up playing without Neymar and Thiago Silva.

While Brazil has won more trophies than any other country, this defeat is the most shocking in World Cup history. It was also their first defeat on home soil since 1975.

World Cup Qualifiers

Qatar, the host of the previous World Cup, is the only team with a direct spot in the competition. All the other 31 teams will have to go through their confederation’s qualifying systems.

The World Cup qualifiers are divided by continent, with Europe getting the most slots.
